  • ContactLifeline strives to provide the highest quality telephone counseling, crisis intervention, information and referral, education and prevention services for persons in crisis and for persons in need of listening services. Additionally, ContactLifeline provides comprehensive statewide services to victims of sexual assault and secondary victims of sexual assault. ContactLifeline crisis responder services are provided by professionally trained and supervised volunteers and professionals who respond anonymously and confidentially to human needs, statewide, 24 hours a day.

  • The Sexual Assault Response Center (SARC) is part of YWCA Delaware and provides services to all sexual assault survivors aged 12 and older and their non-offending family members and partners in New Castle County. We welcome all survivors regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, economic status or legal status. All of our services are free and confidential. Sexual Assault Response Advocates (SARAs) are available 24/7 to assist survivors in need of medical, police and legal accompaniment, supportive telephone counseling, aftercare follow up services, as well as information and referral to vital YWCA and other community services. Along with individual and group counseling, the SARC offers community outreach and prevention education to encourage support for survivors. SARC has resources to help understand healthy relationships, how to avoid interpersonal violence and work towards ending sexual violence in our community.   • Confidentiality: All sessions and records are strictly confidential with a few exceptions. State law requires us to report threats of violence to self or others, or child abuse and neglect (from evidence or suspicion). We may also be required to break confidentiality if your information is subpoenaed or court-ordered by a judge. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, dont hesitate to ask a SARC staff member. Risks and Limitations: As you begin your hope and healing process, please be aware that there is potential for emotional strains, stresses, and life changes as a result of receiving services. Depending on your individual issues, you may remember unpleasant events and experience difficult or intense emotions. Symptoms may be intensified or new information may surface. SARC cannot guarantee any particular results or outcomes from the process, but we are committed to helping you find hope healing, and empowerment.

  • Sexual Offense Support (S.O.S.) is a volunteer organization providing support and advocacy to survivors of all forms of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking, as well as educating the University of Delaware community on these topics. S.O.S. is made up of undergraduate and graduate student volunteers, staff and community volunteers. S.O.S. is a program of Student Wellness & Health Promotion on campus.
